This month, the National Weather Service has issued red flag warnings for the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota due to a sudden onset of warm weather. Nearly 90 daily records could be broken, and temperatures are expected to soar to as much as 30 degrees above normal. Residents are urged to take extra precautions, such as avoiding activities that could spark a fire, staying hydrated, and limiting outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.
