In response to two mass shootings, the Serbian Interior Ministry has launched an anti-gun crackdown, including a month-long amnesty period for citizens to hand in their unregistered weapons. In the first three days, nearly 6,000 weapons, 300,000 rounds of ammunition, and 470 explosive devices have been handed over. The amnesty period is intended to reduce the number of unregistered weapons in circulation and make Serbia a safer place.
