A University of Wisconsin-Madison student was the victim of a horrific off-campus attack on Sunday morning, resulting in life-threatening injuries. Early Wednesday morning, Brandon A. Thompson, 26, was charged with first-degree sexual assault, first-degree reckless injury and strangulation in connection with the attack. The university is offering counseling services and working closely with the Madison Police Department to ensure the safety of its students.
