On Sunday afternoon, a U.S. fighter jet went missing over South Carolina after the pilot was forced to eject due to a “mishap”. The pilot was able to safely parachute into a North Charleston neighborhood and is currently in stable condition. Military officials are asking for help from the public in locating the F-35B Lightning II jet, a fifth-generation fighter aircraft designed for stealth capabilities.
