Tesla is recalling over 2 million vehicles across its model lineup due to a defective system that is supposed to ensure drivers are paying attention when using Autopilot. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) conducted a two-year investigation into a series of crashes that occurred while the Autopilot system was in use. Tesla will soon send out a software update to fix the problem, but details on how the software update will work and how customers can get it have not yet been released.
