This article discusses the impending landfall of a severe cyclone between Cox's Bazar in Bangladesh and Sittwe in Myanmar. In preparation, Myanmar has evacuated over 4,000 of Sittwe's 300,000 residents and Bangladesh is using loudspeakers to urge people to seek shelter. The outermost band of the cyclone has already reached the coast of Myanmar's Rakhine state and the center is expected to make landfall by afternoon.
