Julian Khater, who admitted to spraying U.S. Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick with pepper spray during the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol attack, was sentenced to 80 months in prison in a Washington, D.C. courtroom packed with Sicknick's colleagues and fellow officers. George Tanios pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct and entering and remaining in a restricted building. Judge Thomas Hogan said that he did not know what had motivated Khater to push his way through the crowd.
