On Sunday, a Delta flight from Amsterdam to Detroit with 270 passengers was forced to make an emergency landing at a remote Canadian military base in Goose Bay, Newfoundland due to a mechanical issue. The passengers were stuck in Canada for over 21 hours and were provided with hotel rooms and meals. After a staffing issue delayed their departure, the passengers were finally able to take off on Monday afternoon and arrived in Detroit later that evening.
