In a letter, Leslie Dubeck, general counsel for the Manhattan DA's office, argued that the request was a violation of the separation of powers and would interfere with the investigation. The DA's office also noted that they had already provided the House with documents related to the case, and that they would not comply with the request and would continue to pursue their investigation.
