Temple University is mourning the loss of its beloved acting president, JoAnne Epps, who passed away on Tuesday. She was known for her ability to bring people together and make every day at work enjoyable, and was appointed as Temple University’s acting president in 2018. University officials said that Epps “embodied everything that is great about Temple University” and President Richard M. Englert said that “her commitment to our students, faculty, staff, and alumni was unparalleled.” The university is planning a memorial service to honor her legacy.
