The stationmaster of the train disaster in Larissa, Greece has been charged with negligent homicide and jailed pending trial. Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has apologized for any responsibility the government may bear and promised a swift investigation. Once a new parliament is in place, a commission will be named to investigate decades of mismanagement of the country’s railway system.
