She was struck twice in her right buttock and once in the back, impacting her left abdomen. Washington said that she tried to stay calm and keep her friends safe, even as she was bleeding, and is now recovering with the support of her family, friends, and community. The shooter was identified by police, but the incident is still under investigation.
