A 2-year-old Florida girl died after being left in a hot car overnight, leading to the arrest of her parents on charges of child neglect, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies responded to a home in the Florida Panhandle community of Prosperity and were met by someone carrying the unresponsive child, who was later pronounced dead at a local hospital. The medical examiner's office is conducting an autopsy to determine the cause of death and the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office is continuing to investigate the incident.
