After days of heavy rainfall, the floodwaters have receded in Beijing's suburbs, leaving extensive damage in its wake. This includes a train carrying 900 passengers that got stuck in the outskirts of the city, as well as closed scenic spots, shut down subway lines, and canceled or delayed hundreds of flights. The government has yet to release an estimate of the damage, but authorities are continuing to work to clear the debris and restore the affected areas.
