A former Delta co-pilot has been indicted on federal charges after allegedly threatening to shoot the plane's captain during a flight last year. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Utah has charged Jonathan J. Dunn with one count of interference with a flight crew and one count of using a dangerous weapon to assault and intimidate a flight crew member. If convicted, Dunn faces up to 20 years in prison. Delta Air Lines has stated that it takes the safety of its passengers and crew very seriously and will not tolerate any behavior that threatens the safety of its flights.
