The Pointer Sisters formed in 1969 as a trio, and gained fame with their hit songs "I'm So Excited", "Slow Hand", "Neutron Dance" and "Jump (For My Love)". They won a Grammy in 1974 for their crossover hit "Fairytale", and were later inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1994. After the addition of the oldest sister, Ruth, in 1972, the group continued recording until 1993. Anita, the last surviving member, passed away surrounded by her family.
