Kenneth Chesebro, a legal adviser to former President Donald Trump's campaign, has declined a plea offer from the Fulton County, Georgia district attorney's office in its 2020 election interference case and will instead go to trial. Sidney Powell, another former Trump lawyer, unexpectedly entered a guilty plea Thursday morning, agreeing to plead guilty to six counts of conspiracy to commit interference with the performance of election duties. The trial is expected to begin later this week and will be part of a larger investigation into alleged interference in the 2020 election.
