China’s Special Envoy Urges International Community to Work Together to End Conflict in Ukraine

China’s special envoy for Eurasian Affairs, Li Hui, has called for the international community to work together to end the conflict in Ukraine. During a visit to Kyiv earlier this week, Li Hui urged all parties to create conditions for peace talks. He also exchanged views with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian foreign minister and other state leaders on ways to end the Ukraine-Russia conflict through a political settlement.

Former Brazilian President Lula da Silva has also called for an end to the conflict in Ukraine. He urged the United States and the European Union to start talking about peace, in order to convince both Putin and Zelensky that peace is in the interest of everyone.

China has offered to promote the international community to form the greatest common denominator for resolving the Ukrainian crisis, and to make its own efforts to stop the fighting and establish a ceasefire. It is hoped that this will help to restore peace as soon as possible.
