Hart said the experience was especially difficult for her, as she and her family had previously lived in Connecticut, where the 2012 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School left 20 children dead.

“I don’t know what to say,” Hart said tearfully. “I’m just so thankful that my family is ok and my children weren’t at the school on Monday.”

Hart said the video was “too raw” to post on the day of the tragedy, but that she wanted to share her story to honor the victims and their families.
