Plastic Surgeon Arrested and Charged with First-Degree Murder in Disappearance of Lawyer Steven Cozzi

A Tampa-area plastic surgeon has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the disappearance of Steven Cozzi, a lawyer from the firm of Blanchard Law.

Dr. Tomasz Kosowski was taken into custody on Saturday by Largo police. Cozzi was last seen at Blanchard Law on Tuesday, and his wallet, phone, and keys were found in the office along with a significant amount of blood in the bathroom.

Police have not yet found Cozzi’s body, but they have evidence that he was killed by Kosowski. The doctor had been in a business dispute with former co-workers, and Cozzi had been representing them at Blanchard Law.

Kosowski is being held without bond in the Pinellas County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information to contact them.

The St. Petersburg Bar Association has released a statement expressing their condolences to Cozzi’s family and friends. They also said that they are “deeply saddened by the tragic loss of a valued member of the legal community.”
