The plea deal avoided a trial that was scheduled for next month in Clark County District Court. Nichols and his co-defendant, George William Moya III, were charged with felonies in connection with an attack on a man in suburban Henderson in February 2020.
The plea deal comes as hundreds of people gathered to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the terrorist bombing in Oklahoma City. Terry Nichols was convicted of conspiracy and involuntary manslaughter in the bombing, which killed 168 people.
Joshua Nichols will be sentenced on April 16. Moya will be sentenced on April 19. Both men face a maximum of life in prison.
