CNN Anchor Kasie Hunt Gives Birth to Daughter on Bathroom Floor After 13 Minutes of Labor

CNN anchor and chief national affairs analyst Kasie Hunt and her husband Matthew Mario Rivera welcomed their second child to the world in a unique and unexpected way. On Wednesday morning, Hunt gave birth to their daughter, Grey Hunt Rivera, on the bathroom floor of their home after just 13 minutes of labor.

Hunt and Rivera were expecting Grey to arrive via a scheduled C-section the following morning. However, the sudden labor meant that they did not have time to call the paramedics before the delivery. Hunt thanked the District of Columbia fire and emergency medical personnel for talking them through “the incredibly intense moments before she took her first breaths, and who arrived within minutes to bring mom and baby safely to the hospital.”

Hunt shared the news of Grey’s arrival on Instagram, saying that “Grey introduced herself” and that they were “thrilled to introduce our daughter.” She also thanked the medical personnel for their help and support.
