A 42-year-old New Jersey man is facing multiple federal criminal charges after allegedly attempting to board a flight with firearms, ammunition, a bulletproof vest, and fraudulent law enforcement credentials.
According to the U.S. Department of Justice, Seretse Clouden, originally from Bergen County, was attempting to board a flight to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 30th when Transportation Security Administration agents discovered two .40 caliber Glock magazines, each containing fifteen rounds of .40 caliber ammunition, in his checked luggage.
Upon further inspection, agents found that Clouden was carrying three firearms in his checked luggage, including an AR-15 rifle, a Taser, and a fake U.S. Marshal’s badge. The five-page complaint also states that Clouden was in possession of a bulletproof vest.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey has charged Clouden with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, one count of possession of a firearm not registered to him in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record, and one count of possession of a false identification document.
