The Los Angeles County coroner confirmed that Majors, who also went by the name Austin Setmajer-Raglin, died Saturday at a residence, though the cause of death is still pending further investigation.
Majors was best known for his role on “NYPD Blue,” where he portrayed the son of Detective Andy Sipowicz from 1999 to 2004. He also appeared on other prime-time shows, including “The West Wing,” “ER,” and “Boston Public.”
In a statement, Majors’ sister, Kali Majors-Raglin, said he was an “artistic, brilliant and kind human being.”
“From the time he was little, he never knew a stranger and his goal in life was to make people happy,” she said. “Austin took great joy and pride in his acting career.”
