Nathan Lee Chasing His Horse, a former actor in the Oscar-winning film “Dances With Wolves,” was arrested by Las Vegas police on Tuesday. Chasing Horse, who is also known as Nathan Chasing Horse, is accused of sexually assaulting young Indigenous girls over a period of two decades.

SWAT officers were seen outside the two-story home in North Las Vegas that Chasing Horse is said to share with his five wives. Police searched the property as part of the investigation.

Chasing Horse gained a reputation among tribes across the United States and in Canada as a so-called medicine man who performed spiritual ceremonies. He was best known for his role as the young Sioux tribe member Smiles a Lot in the 1990 Kevin Costner film.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has not released any further details about the investigation or the allegations against Chasing Horse. It is unclear if he has been formally charged with any crimes.
