Authorities in Louisiana have announced the arrest of two additional individuals in connection with the hazing-related death of Caleb Wilson, a 20-year-old student from Southern University. This development brings the total number of arrests in the case to three. The incident, which occurred off-campus, involved Wilson being repeatedly punched in the chest during a fraternity pledging event.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the newly arrested individuals as 25-year-old Kyle Thurman and 28-year-old Isaiah Smith. Both have been charged with criminal hazing. Thurman was apprehended on Monday by U.S. Marshals and local police in Port Allen, while Smith voluntarily surrendered to authorities on Tuesday.

The first arrest in the case occurred last Thursday when 23-year-old Caleb McCray turned himself in to police. McCray faces charges of manslaughter and criminal hazing. According to Baton Rouge Police Chief TJ Morse, Wilson’s death was a direct result of the hazing incident, which involved physical assault.
