Former Georgia Election Workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss File New Lawsuit Against Rudy Giuliani to Stop False Accusations of Election Fraud

Two former Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, have filed a new lawsuit against former Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani. This comes days after they were awarded $148 million in damages in a defamation suit against Giuliani.

The new complaint, filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, does not seek any money from the former mayor. Instead, it asks a federal judge to permanently bar Giuliani from continuing to make false claims about Freeman and Moss.

The 10-page complaint argues that Giuliani has continued to falsely accuse the mother and daughter pair of committing election fraud even after a federal jury handed down last week’s verdict in Washington, D.C.

Giuliani has been vocal in his claims that the 2020 election was fraudulent, and has repeatedly accused Freeman and Moss of participating in a ballot fraud scheme. The two women have denied these claims, and the jury found that Giuliani’s statements were false and defamatory.

The new suit seeks to put an end to Giuliani’s false accusations and prevent him from continuing to make them in the future. It remains to be seen whether the court will grant the order sought by Freeman and Moss.
