Cassidy Hutchinson, a former aide to ex-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, has alleged in her upcoming memoir that Rudy Giuliani, the former attorney for President Donald Trump, groped her during an event on Jan. 6, 2021.
In excerpts of her book “Enough,” set to be released next week, Hutchinson said Giuliani was “like a wolf closing in on its prey” when she met with him backstage while President Donald Trump delivered remarks to his supporters at the Ellipse near the White House shortly before the Capitol riot. Hutchinson alleges Giuliani had approached her and put his hand under her blazer, then her skirt.
The Guardian obtained a copy of the book and published quotes from Hutchinson, who wrote, “I feel his frozen fingers trail up my thigh. My eyes dart to [Trump adviser] John Eastman, who flashes a leering grin.” NBC News has not obtained a copy of the book, but a person familiar with the book confirmed that the quotes published by The Guardian were accurate.
Hutchinson, 27, testified before the House Jan. 6 committee about President Donald Trump’s actions on Jan. 6, 2021. She was a top aide to Meadows and was present at the Ellipse event.
Giuliani, who was a prominent promoter of Trump’s stolen election lies, has not commented on the allegations. Hutchinson’s book is set to be released next week.
