Prominent Jewish advocacy groups have condemned former President Donald Trump’s post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday night, which accused “liberal Jews” of voting to “destroy” America and Israel.

The post, which came on the weekend of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, said, “Just a quick reminder for liberal Jews who voted to destroy America & Israel because you believed in false narratives! Let’s hope you learned from your mistake & make better choices moving forward!” It also included a JEXIT flyer, which stands for Jews Exiting the Democrat Party.

The Anti-Defamation League, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, and other Jewish advocacy groups have all spoken out against the post, calling it “divisive” and “inappropriate.”

“The former president’s post was divisive, inappropriate, and offensive,” said Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League. “It is especially troubling that it was posted on the eve of Rosh Hashanah, a time when Jews around the world are gathering with family and friends to celebrate the New Year and reflect on our shared values of justice and peace.”

The American Israel Public Affairs Committee also released a statement condemning the post, saying, “We are deeply troubled by the former president’s divisive rhetoric and urge all elected officials to refrain from language that seeks to divide Americans along religious or political lines.”

The post has since been removed from Truth Social, but the backlash from Jewish advocacy groups continues.
