Hoover Police Department Investigates Mysterious Disappearance of 25-Year-Old Nursing Student Carlee Russell

Hoover, Alabama – The Hoover Police Department is investigating the mysterious disappearance of 25-year-old nursing student Carlee Russell. On July 13th, Russell called 911 to report seeing a toddler walking on the side of a busy highway.

At a news conference Wednesday, authorities said that evidence does not support many details of Russell and her family’s account of her disappearance. Russell told police that she was forced into an 18-wheeler truck and taken to a home where a man and woman told her to get undressed, then took photos of her.

When police arrived minutes later, Russell’s red Mercedes was still running, but she was gone. In a call to her relatives moments later, her mother said they heard her scream before going silent.

The Hoover Police Department is asking anyone with information about the incident to come forward. They are also asking anyone who may have seen Russell’s car on the night of July 13th to contact them.

The investigation into Russell’s disappearance is ongoing. The Hoover Police Department is working with local, state and federal authorities to find her and bring her home safely.
