A 25-year-old woman from Alabama is missing after she called 911 to report a toddler walking on an interstate Thursday night.

Carlethia “Carlee” Nichole Russell called 911 emergency dispatchers just after 9:30 p.m. local time Thursday to report that she had seen a toddler walking on the side of Interstate 459. She then called a family member shortly after.

The Hoover Police Department found Russell’s vehicle and some of her possessions, but neither she nor any child were found. An anonymous source has offered a $20,000 reward in addition to the $5,000 raised by CrimeStoppers.

The Hoover Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating Russell. They are asking anyone with information to call the Hoover Police Department at 205-822-5300 or CrimeStoppers at 205-254-7777.
