A Massachusetts woman who went missing last week has been found alive in Borderland State Park. Emma Tetewsky, 31, was located Monday evening after hikers called 911 and said they heard a woman screaming for help in a swamp-like area, the Stoughton Police Department said.
The hikers heard Tetewsky “screaming for help in a swamp-like area” and could not reach her on foot, so they notified Easton police. It is believed that Tetewsky had been there for at least three days.
Stoughton Police Chief Donna McNamara said in a statement that Tetewsky “was conscious and alert” and “taken by ambulance” to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with “serious, but not believed to be life-threatening injuries.”
The Stoughton Police Department wrote on Twitter that Tetewsky was “located in a swamp-like area” and “rescued by Easton Fire and Police personnel.”
