Pop star Madonna, 64, is delaying her upcoming tour after being hospitalized for a “serious bacterial infection,” her manager Guy Oseary announced Wednesday.

The tour was set to bring the 64-year-old to cities throughout North America, Europe and the U.K. with 84 performances over the course of about six months. However, Oseary said that all commitments must be paused until Madonna makes a full recovery.

Details on the type of infection and how long her recovery is expected to take were not immediately available. Oseary said that more information, including a new start date for the tour and rescheduled shows, will be shared once they have it.

Madonna is currently under medical care as she recovers from the infection. Fans are wishing her a speedy recovery and hoping that she will be able to continue her tour soon.
