Three people have been found dead in Nottingham, England, and three others were hit by a van in what police believe to be linked incidents.

Nottinghamshire Police Chief Constable Kate Meynell said in a statement that the incident was “an horrific and tragic incident which has claimed the lives of three people.” Two of the victims were found dead in one street and a third in a different street, separately from the van incident.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. The three people hit by the van were injured and taken to the hospital.

Police have cordoned off the Maid Marian Way junction of Upper Parliament Street in Nottingham as they investigate the incident. Multiple road closures have been put in place as police investigate the apparent incident.

The investigation is ongoing and police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Chief Constable Meynell said, “We are in the early stages of our investigation and I would urge anyone who has any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to contact us.”
