Mike Batayeh, Beloved Actor and Comedian Known for His Role in AMC’s “Breaking Bad”, Dies at Age 63

Actor and comedian Mike Batayeh, known for his role in AMC’s “Breaking Bad” as the manager of Gus’s notorious laundromat, has died. Batayeh died of a massive heart attack at his home in Michigan on June 1, his five sisters said in a statement to CBS News on Friday.

Batayeh was best known for his role in “Breaking Bad” as Dennis Markowski, manager of Lavanderia Brillante laundromat, which doubled as a meth lab for Walter White and Jesse Pinkman. He starred in three episodes of the show.

Batayeh also made appearances on shows like “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” “Sleeper Cell,” “The Shield,” and “The Unit.”

His family said in a statement, “It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that my sisters and I announce the passing of our dear brother. He will be greatly missed by those who loved him and his great ability to bring laughter and joy to so many.”
