“I remember hitting my head, I remember it hurting and then I remember waking up in the (medical) tent,” Irving recalled of her horrifying-fall to Greatest Hits Radio Gloucester. Irving was unconscious as she tumbled over the finishing line, but still managed to win the race.
As a precautionary measure, Irving visited a hospital after the race. She was later seen smiling with her cheese and supporters, proud of her accomplishment.
