Comedian Jimmy Kimmel will return as host of the Oscars for the fourth time, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced Wednesday. Kimmel’s wife Molly McNearney will also return for a second consecutive year as executive producer for the show.

Kramer and Yang, the Academy’s CEO and President respectively, said in a statement that they were “thrilled” about Kimmel and McNearney’s return.

“They share our love of movies and our commitment to producing a dynamic and entertaining show for our global audience,” Kramer and Yang said.

Kimmel, who is the host and executive producer of the late-night talk show “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” said in a statement that he had always dreamed of hosting the Oscars four times.

“I’m very excited to be hosting the Oscars for the fourth, and most likely final, time,” Kimmel said.

McNearney, who has been an executive producer on the show since 2018, said she was looking forward to working with Kimmel again.

“I’m excited to be back as executive producer for the second year in a row,” McNearney said. “I’m looking forward to working with Jimmy and the rest of the team to make this year’s show the best one yet.”

The Oscars will take place on March 12, 2023 in Hollywood, California.
