The body of 26-year-old Chong Un Kim was discovered in February 1988 by a man attempting to collect aluminum cans from the dumpster. Kim was wrapped in plastic and duct tape, and was naked inside a brown canvas suitcase.
GBI used DNA analysis, funded by donors, to identify Kim as the body found in the dumpster. Investigators believe Kim had been dead for four to seven days when her body was discovered.
