U.S. Marshals Capture Last of Six Escaped Inmates in Chester County, Pennsylvania

U.S. Marshals have captured another escaped inmate in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Mario Che-Tiul, 34, was taken into custody at around 1:30 p.m. local time on Thursday in the unit block of Gap Newport Pike in Avondale.

Che-Tiul had been on the run since June 1, when he escaped from the Barry County Jail in Missouri. He was the last of six inmates to be captured and was wanted for a “violent” escape.

The capture of Che-Tiul comes just over a week after Danelo Cavalcante, a convicted murderer who had also escaped from prison, was taken back into custody in the same area.

U.S. Marshals said they had gathered information that Che-Tiul might be at the residence and surrounded the apartment. He was taken into custody without incident.

Che-Tiul is accused of child molestation and is being held in the Chester County Prison pending extradition back to Missouri. The U.S. Marshals Service thanked the public for their assistance in helping to locate Che-Tiul.
