Six people, including a 15-year-old, were arrested on Thursday in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found in the trunk of a car in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The woman, believed to be in her 20s or 30s and from South Korea, had been beaten, starved, burned, and wrapped in a blanket.

The suspects, Eric Hyun, 26, Gawom Lee, 26, Joonho Lee, 26, Juoonhyum Lee, 22, Hyunji Lee, 25, and the 15-year-old, identified themselves as members of a religious group called “Soldiers of Christ”. They are now facing multiple charges including felony murder, false imprisonment, tampering with evidence, concealing the death of another, and street gang charges.

The woman’s body was discovered in the trunk of a car parked outside of a spa on Tuesday night. According to police, the woman had come to the U.S. over the summer to join the group.

Cpl. Juan Madiedo of the Gwinnett County Police Department said in a press conference that detectives are still trying to determine the motive behind the woman’s death. He added that the investigation is ongoing and that more information would be released as it becomes available.

The six suspects are currently being held in the Gwinnett County Jail. It is unclear if they have entered pleas or have legal representation.
