Amazon founder Jeff Bezos has purchased a luxurious estate on the exclusive man-made barrier island of “Billionaire Bunker” in Miami, Florida. The three-bedroom, waterfront home sits on 2.8 acres and was purchased for $68 million.
Bezos, 59, will be joining a growing list of celebrities who have also purchased homes on the island, including Tom Brady, Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner. According to Miami-Dade property records, the previous owner of the home was MTM Star International.
Guillermo Olmedillo, the village manager of Indian Creek Village, told The Associated Press that the island is a “very exclusive, very private” community. He added that the island is “very secure” and that the residents are “very private people.”
The county website does not list Bezos as the owner, but shows the property sold in June. It is unclear when Bezos will move into the home, but it is likely that he will be welcomed by his new neighbors with open arms.
