Two suspects have surrendered to police in connection with a brawl that occurred on the Montgomery, Alabama, riverfront on Saturday. According to a statement from the Montgomery Police Department, Allen Todd, 23, and Zachary Shipman, 25, each face one count of third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.

The incident began when a small, private boat blocked the Harriott II riverboat from docking in its designated spot along the riverfront. The captain of the Harriott II attempted to get the owners of the private boat to move for approximately 40 minutes, but was met with taunts and obscene gestures.

The altercation escalated into a physical altercation, which was captured on video by several bystanders. The video went viral and showed a group of white men attacking a Black dockworker.

Two more men have been arrested in connection with the brawl and were expected to surrender to police on Tuesday afternoon. Police Chief Darryl J. Albert said that the suspects were expected to face misdemeanor assault charges.

The Montgomery Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident and is asking anyone with information to contact them.
