A man suspected of kidnapping a woman and holding her in a cinder block cell in Oregon has been arrested in Nevada, the FBI announced on July 16. Negasi Zuberi, 29, who goes by the aliases “Sakima,” “Justin Hyche” and “Justin Kouassi,” is now suspected of at least four violent sexual assaults in four states.

The FBI is now looking for other possible victims of Zuberi’s alleged crimes. The woman he is accused of kidnapping in Oregon escaped by punching her way out of the cell.

In 2020, another woman sought a protective order against Zuberi after he allegedly attacked, abused and threatened to kill her and their two children. “He physically attacks me, he hits me, he brakes (sic) and throws things, he screams at the kids and me,” the woman wrote in her petition.

Zuberi is currently in custody in Nevada, awaiting extradition to Oregon. He is charged in federal court with interstate kidnapping and transporting an individual across state lines with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

The FBI is asking anyone with information about Zuberi’s alleged crimes to contact their local FBI office or submit a tip online at tips.fbi.gov.
