Robert De Niro’s Grandson, Leandro De Niro Rodriguez, Passes Away at 19

Actor Drena De Niro, the eldest daughter of two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro, announced the tragic news of her son Leandro De Niro Rodriguez’s death on Sunday. Rodriguez, 19, was the grandson of Robert De Niro and appeared in the 2018 film “A Star Is Born” with his mother.

In an emotional Instagram post, Drena De Niro mourned her son, saying “My beautiful sweet angel, I have loved you beyond words or description from the moment I felt you in my belly.” She went on to say that he was “so deeply loved and appreciated” and that she wished “that love alone could have saved you.”

Rodriguez’s father, artist Carlos Mare, also posted a black image on his Instagram pages and reacted to his son’s death in a response to Drena. “I wish I was with you,” he said.

The news of Rodriguez’s death has been met with an outpouring of support from the public, with many expressing their condolences to the family. “My heart aches for the De Niro family,” one user wrote.
