Former Fox News producer Abby Grossberg has settled two lawsuits against the network and television personality Tucker Carlson for $12 million, her attorney Gerry Filippatos said Friday.
The lawsuits, which were filed in federal court in New York and state court in Delaware, alleged that Grossberg was harassed, retaliated against and set up to take the fall for Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation suit against Fox.
Grossberg claimed that Fox’s attorneys coerced and impermissibly coached her in preparation for her deposition in the Dominion Voting Systems’ defamation lawsuit against Fox. She also said that she was later fired for going public with her claims.
The settlement resolves claims filed against Fox News, its parent company, Carlson and the network’s attorneys. A spokesperson for Fox News said, “We are pleased that we have been able to resolve this matter without further litigation.”
Grossberg’s attorney Gerry Filippatos said, “We are pleased that Fox News and Tucker Carlson have agreed to pay Abby Grossberg $12 million to settle her claims. This settlement is a testament to Abby’s courage and determination to stand up for herself and to fight for justice.”
