Amtrak Train Derails in Southern California After Striking County Water Truck, Injuring 14 Passengers and Critically Injuring Driver

Ventura County Fire Department Captain Brian McGrath reported that three of the train’s seven cars went off the tracks in Moorpark. The derailed cars remained upright on tracks adjacent to an orchard and bare sections of land. The truck driver was taken to a trauma center with a head injury.
