A 23-year-old man has pleaded guilty to five counts of murder, 46 counts of attempted murder, and two counts of bias-motivated crime in connection with a mass shooting at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub in November 2022.

Anderson Lee Aldrich entered Club Q wearing a bulletproof vest and armed with an AR-style rifle and handgun before firing into the crowd, killing Daniel Aston, Raymond Green Vance, Kelly Loving, Ashley Paugh and Derrick Rump. He also injured 17 other people.

The shooter was charged with 323 criminal counts, including first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, first- and second-degree assault and bias-motivated crimes. As part of a plea deal with prosecutors, Aldrich will now serve life in prison for the Club Q shooting.
