A 32-year-old Ohio man has been charged with three counts of aggravated murder after shooting his three young sons and wounding their mother.
According to the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office, Chad Doerman was found at the scene of the triple homicide on Thursday. The office had received two alarming calls earlier that day, one from a woman yelling “her babies had been shot” and another from a person driving who reported seeing a girl running down the road “stating that ‘her father was killing everyone.’”
At Doerman’s arraignment on Friday, Clermont County’s chief prosecutor of Municipal Court, David Gast, said that one of the boys had tried to flee into a nearby field, but Doerman “hunted” his son down and brought him back to their home before killing him.
Doerman has admitted to planning the killings and lining them up before executing them with a rifle. He is currently being held without bond on the three counts of aggravated murder.
The tragedy has left the community in shock, and the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office has asked for prayers for the family of the victims. The investigation is ongoing.
