Kim Cattrall to Make a Brief Return as Samantha Jones in “And Just Like That…” Finale

Kim Cattrall is set to make a brief return to the small screen as Samantha Jones in the finale of the second season of the “Sex and the City” spinoff series, “And Just Like That…”. Variety reported Wednesday that the actress will reprise her iconic role for the show’s finale.

Cattrall, who starred in six seasons and two movie spinoffs of “Sex and the City” as the glamorous publicist, was dressed by costume designer Patricia Field, who worked on all six seasons of the show and its two feature films.

According to ET, Cattrall filmed her cameo March 22 in New York and was not on the set at any point with Sarah Jessica Parker or the series showrunner, Michael Patrick King. Variety reported that Cattrall will only appear in one scene of the season finale.

The second season of “And Just Like That…” will premiere June 22. The show follows the lives of Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they navigate love and friendship in their 50s.

The return of Cattrall to the show is a rare moment of Hollywood détente, as the actress had not been involved with “And Just Like That…” prior to her cameo. Fans of the show will be eager to see how her return will be incorporated into the finale.
