Hank Green Diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, Encourages Support for Cancer Research

VidCon co-founder and YouTuber Hank Green has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that attacks the lymphatic system. Green shared the news in a 13-minute video titled “So I’ve Got Cancer,” which was posted to the YouTube channel he shares with his brother, novelist John Green.

Green said he first noticed his lymph nodes were swollen and his doctor sent him to get an ultrasound. He said he is still waiting on a scan to confirm the diagnosis. In the video description, he wrote his first treatment began “literally as this video goes live.”
